Emília Dzemjanová studied at the Conservatory in Košice with Ivan Sokol and at the Academy of Performing Arts with Ferdinand Klinda; she also completed her doctorate under his tuition. She also attended a master performing class held by Flor Peeters (Mechelen, Belgium). She has performed at organ festivals in Slovakia and abroad, and has played on some of Europe's most famous organs. She has recorded a number of compositions and complete cycles for radio, television and CD-release. She has presented a number of Slovak premieres, which she also performed abroad. Some of them were dedicated to her.
Since 1982 she has taught at the Conservatory in Košice, holding the organ class and leading the Department of church music. She is the author of the book Organ School (1996, 2000) and of the textbook Methodology of Organ Playing (2002), which both have been widely acclaimed. She received several domestic as well as a foreign awards.
